Superior Fireplaces is one of three hearth brands from Innovative Hearth Products, alongside Astria and IronStrike. The line is aimed squarely at new construction and remodels: full-featured fireplaces in traditional, contemporary, and transitional styles, with the breadth to cover a whole project — direct-vent and vent-free gas, wood-burning fireboxes, electric units, outdoor fireplaces, inserts, and gas log sets. The Superior lines we recommend most
Direct-vent gas
The core of the line — the DRT and DRC families in traditional proportions, sized from a bedroom to a great room. Vents through an exterior wall, no chimney needed.
Linear gas
The DRL series: long, low flame for modern rooms, including see-through models that open to two spaces at once.
Wood-burning and inserts
Factory-built wood fireboxes for new construction where masonry isn’t practical, plus inserts and gas log sets to bring an existing fireplace back to life.
Outdoor fireplaces
Gas and wood units built for a covered patio or an outdoor room — the same range, rated for the weather.

Superior questions we hear every week
Superior, Majestic, or Regency — which one?
Superior usually wins on value across a whole build; Majestic and Regency on specific models and finishes. The honest answer depends on your opening, venting, and budget — we’ll put the comparable models side by side.
Direct-vent or vent-free?
Direct-vent draws air from outside and sends exhaust out through the wall — it’s what we recommend in almost every case. Vent-free costs less to install, but it runs into real limits on room size — and some Maryland jurisdictions restrict it outright. We’ll tell you plainly whether it fits.
Do you work with builders on new construction?
Yes, and that’s where Superior is strongest. Reach out during framing — it’s the cheapest moment to get the fireplace right.
How long is the lead time?
Most units arrive in under two weeks. Stock moves daily, so we check before promising a date.
Do you install?
No. Jesse is not a licensed contractor. We lock in the installer’s price before you order and pass you the details; we take no money for the installation.
