Built-in grills and outdoor kitchen appliances for Montgomery County homes

An outdoor kitchen is a construction project with a grill in the middle of it. The masonry, the countertops, the gas and electric runs — that’s your builder or landscaper. The equipment that goes into it, and how it all fits together — that’s us.

    Decide the equipment
    before the countertop is cut

We supply premium built-in grills and outdoor kitchen appliances, and we help you plan what goes where before anything is poured or framed. Most of our outdoor kitchen work comes through homeowners who are already working with a contractor, or through the contractors themselves. Either way, the appliance decisions are best made early — once the countertop is cut, the grill size is fixed.

    What goes into it

The parts of an outdoor kitchen

Premium stainless steel built-in gas grill with the lid open

    The grill

Built-in or freestanding, gas or charcoal, sized to how many people you actually cook for. The center of the project, and the one place not to cut corners.

Covered patio with an outdoor kitchen and dining table under a pergola

    Side burners and cooktops

For sauces, sides, a pot of crabs — anything that doesn’t belong on the grate.

    Refrigeration

Outdoor-rated refrigerators, ice makers, and beverage centers. Indoor units don’t survive outside.

    Storage, doors, and utilities

Access doors, drawers, and trash pull-outs — plus gas, electric, and water planned before construction, not after.

What we check on every outdoor kitchen project

    • Clearances Distance from the grill to combustible materials and to the house — before the layout is final.
    • Wind and smoke Where the smoke goes matters more than people expect, especially near a door or a neighbor.
    • Maryland winters Hard on outdoor equipment. We recommend covers and appliances rated for it.
    • Cut-out dimensions Every built-in unit has exact cut-out specs. Your builder gets them before the countertop is ordered.

    not seasons

Fire Magic is our lead line for outdoor cooking — built-in grills and kitchen components made to last in the weather. HearthStone Outdoor covers what a grill alone can’t: flat-top griddles, pizza ovens, and fire pits that cook. We know both lines and their cut-out specs well enough to spec a kitchen from a sketch, and we can source other premium lines on request.

Built-in stainless grills, side burners, access doors and drawers, and outdoor refrigeration — a complete kitchen from one line, sized to the way you cook.

Flat-top gas griddles, Genio pizza ovens on a soapstone floor, and cast-iron fire pits that take a cooking ring.

    How it works

    From sketch
    to first cookout

    • 01. Tell us about the space Photos, plans, or a sketch with rough dimensions. Tell us how many people you cook for.
    • 02. Equipment that fits We recommend units that fit the layout and the budget — grill first, then everything around it.
    • 03. Written quote with lead times So your builder can plan the countertop order around delivery, not the other way around.
    • 04. Supply and coordination We supply the equipment and coordinate with your contractor on delivery and cut-outs.

We sell and advise. We don’t build or install — that stays with your contractor.

    Good to know

Outdoor kitchen questions we hear every week

Yes. Replacing a grill or adding components into existing cut-outs is common. Send us the dimensions.

Gas for convenience and everyday use; charcoal for flavor and people who enjoy the process. Some households want both, and there’s equipment for that.

Premium built-in grills start in the low thousands and go up with size and features. The construction around them is a separate cost through your contractor.

No. We supply the equipment and plan what goes where; the masonry, countertops, and utility runs stay with your builder or landscaper, and we coordinate with them.

Outdoor-rated equipment does, with a cover. Indoor refrigerators and cheap grills don’t. We only recommend units built for it.

Directly. We’ll get you spec sheets and cut-out dimensions quickly, we know the product lines, and we understand that your schedule is the schedule.
