How we work

How a Hearthbeats project works — from first call to finished project

Most people who call us say the same thing: the hearth and audio world is overwhelming. Dozens of brands, hundreds of models, and everyone claims to be the best. Our job is to make the decision simple — and to make sure what you buy actually fits your home.

Start with a conversation

    We make the decision
    simple — and right

We start with a conversation, not a price list. What you have, what you want, and what the space will physically allow come first; the brand and the model come after. If you’re already working with a designer, builder, or landscaper, we loop them in — the appliance decisions are best made before anything is framed or poured.

    Step by step

    From first call
    to finished project

    • 01. First conversation Call, email, or send the form. We ask about the space, new build or remodel, timeline, and a rough budget. Photos and measurements help more than anything — the more we see, the more precise the advice.
    • 02. Consultation Send photos first if you can — often that settles it without a visit. Otherwise we come out, usually within 72 hours. We look at what you have, what you want, and what the space will allow.
    • 03. Recommendation Options, not a single “right answer.” We explain fuel type, venting, output, features, and price, so the choice is yours — and an informed one. Manufacturer brochures on request.
    • 04. Proposal A written quote with the equipment, lead times, and what’s included. No surprises later.
    • 05. Order and coordination We place the order, track delivery, and coordinate with your installer — or refer you to installation partners we trust and have worked with before.
    • 06. After Manufacturer warranties, replacement parts, and a phone number that still answers when you have a question about your equipment next season.

We reply within one business day and can usually meet within 72 hours. Most equipment arrives in under two weeks, Regency in about one — stock moves daily, so we check before promising a date.

What we do — and what we don’t

    • We sell Fireplaces, inserts, stoves, outdoor kitchen equipment, speakers, and home theater components from the brands we carry.
    • We advise Which unit fits the room, the venting, and the budget. Options with the trade-offs explained plainly.
    • We coordinate Orders, delivery, specifications to your builder, and the hand-off to the installer.
    • We don’t install Jesse is not a licensed contractor. We lock in the price with an installer we’ve worked with before you order, then pass you the details — we take no money for the installation.

We reply within one business day and can usually meet within about 72 hours. Most equipment arrives in under two weeks, Regency in about one, though stock moves daily. Fall is the busiest time for hearth products, so if you’re planning for winter, the earlier we talk, the better.

Yes. We’ll tell you what to expect before anything is scheduled.

Because it keeps our advice honest: we recommend what’s right for the space, not what’s easiest for our own crew. Jesse is not a licensed contractor, and specialists who do this every day do it better. For gas the code wouldn’t allow it anyway — see how permits work here. We lock in the installer’s price up front and take nothing for it.

Yes — a good share of our work comes through professionals who specify and build for their clients. We respond quickly, know the product lines well enough to answer technical questions without a callback, and understand that your schedule is the schedule.

No. We work by appointment — at your home or remotely. For products you’d like to see in person, we can point you to manufacturer displays nearby.
